Code of Conduct for Students

The following guidelines are set to ensure a disciplined, respectful, and conducive learning environment for all students. These rules must be adhered to by every student to maintain the integrity of the college community.

  • 1. Dress Code: Every student is expected to wear clean, neat, and formal dress that aligns with the culture and tradition of the institution. Casual wear such as T-shirts, shorts, and jeans must be avoided.
  • 2. Classroom Conduct: During class hours, students are not allowed to leave the classroom without the permission of the concerned teacher. Students must seek prior approval before stepping out of the class.
  • 3. Mobile Phones: The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited on the college campus. Students who violate this rule will face disciplinary action.
  • 4. Respectful Relationships: Students are expected to foster healthy and decent relationships both on and off-campus. The spirit of co-education lies in facilitating such relationships. Any behavior contrary to this spirit will be considered unlawful and subject to punishment.
  • 5. Leisure Hours: During leisure hours, students should use the library or the internet browsing center. Women students should preferably spend their leisure time in the rest room or library, and not in the classrooms.
  • 6. Respect for Teachers: When a teacher enters the classroom, students should stand and remain standing until the teacher asks them to sit or takes their own seat.
  • 7. Punctuality: Latecomers are strictly prohibited from entering the classrooms. Students should arrive on time for all classes.
  • 8. Orderly Movement: Students should move from one classroom to another or exit the classroom in an orderly manner, without creating noise or disturbance.
  • 9. Prescribed Textbooks: Students are expected to bring the prescribed textbooks to class every day. Failure to do so will result in being sent out of the classroom.
  • 10. Respect for Infrastructure: Defacing the blackboards or walls will be severely dealt with. Students should handle the furniture and other college property with care. Any damage caused will result in penalties or suspension from the college.
  • 11. Anti-Social Activities: Students should refrain from participating in any anti-social activities that may disrupt the college environment.
  • 12. Identity Cards: Students are required to wear their identity cards within the campus at all times.
  • 13. Distribution of Materials: Without the permission of the Principal, students are not allowed to circulate any printed materials or pamphlets on the college campus.
  • 14. Ragging: Ragging in any form is a serious offense and will be dealt with severely. Any student involved in ragging will face strict disciplinary actions.
  • 15. Damage to Property: A damage fee will be collected for any damage caused by students knowingly or unknowingly to the college property.
  • 16. Visitors: Visitors are not permitted to meet students in the classrooms during class hours. Students should meet visitors outside the classroom area.
  • 17. Personal Belongings: Students are responsible for their personal belongings. The institution will not be held responsible for any loss or theft.

By adhering to these rules, students will contribute to maintaining a disciplined and respectful academic environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
