RB College of Education, located in Rajbagh, Kathua (J&K), was established in 2018 and is managed by the RB Educational Trust. The college boasts a well-designed infrastructure that includes spacious, well-ventilated classrooms, a large library, a computer lab, a science lab, and other essential facilities. The institution is dedicated to training teachers with strong personalities and professional skills, aiming to contribute to the development of a healthy society and nation. Under the guidance of an experienced management and staff, the college operates with a strong ethos of service and commitment to quality education.

Introduction

The New National Education Policy emphasizes the need for Secondary School Teachers with a special aptitude for the profession, enabling them to inspire students to seek knowledge, foster creativity, and cultivate qualities that shape them into responsible citizens. These teachers are expected to guide students in mastering the art of living together peacefully, with a spirit of fraternity, nationality, and humanity. In alignment with this vision, RB Educational Trust envisioned the establishment of a comprehensive College of Education aimed at preparing Secondary School Teachers who possess a broad vision, a nationalistic outlook, and an awareness of contemporary global developments in the field of education and knowledge. The college is recognized and affiliated with the University of Jammu, a NACC-accredited “A” grade university, to conduct a co-educational full-time B.Ed. course, effective from the academic session 2000-01. The college is approved by the J&K Government, as per notification No. HE- /recog/281/J/2017 dated 28-11-2017, and affiliated with the University of Jammu under No. CDC2022/1719-24 dated 06-06-2022. It is fully equipped with the necessary infrastructure, adhering to UGC and University norms, to meet the educational requirements of both the Government and the University of Jammu for the Bachelor of Education program.
